Eugene Blosser - Patriarch of the Blosser Clan

- attending school? "Elementary -1922 - 1930 at Keokuk County District #8, 1 and 1/4 mi South
of South English, Iowa. A one room school house."
- married? taken? available? "Married to Louella Gingerich in Hong Kong Sept. 19, 1949. Lived together 34 years. She passed away with cancer May 28, 1983."
[On August 7th, 1984, Grandpa married Elsie. Incidentally it was the same summer that the Blosser family moved from Pittsburgh to Hickory, North Carolina -- Christopher].
- favorite sport/team? "My favorite sport was basket-ball. I never played on a team as I would have had to practice at night and had to walk two and a half miles to and from school and to walk that again at night was too much."
- favorite fast food? "My favorite fast food IS ICE CREAM!!!".
- favorite cuisine? "Chinese food stands out above any other (Sweet-Sour Pork)."
- favorite movie? The Sound of Music..
- favorite television show? ABC News & Wheel of Fortune.
- what books are you reading lately? "Tobit & also Judith from the Apocrypha. (Most recently)."
- what music are you listening to lately? Handel's Messaiah and recordings by Mozart & Beethoven.
- religious affiliation? Mennonite.
- political affiliation? "I like to vote for people, but lean toward the Democrats."
- recent news/notable events? "I listen to news and read news on computer with special interest in the Middle East crisis and Pray for peace. My peace inclinations and hope for the world make me apalled at some of our presidents decisions."
- favorite memories: "Family togetherness in our home, visiting after meals. Also times when we would all gather around the organ and our sister Abbie would play hymns on the organ and we all would stand around the organ and sing 4 part harmony. What fun, even though I was too young to do much with tenor or base, I loved it all very much."
